Jeanie Marie Buss was born in the United States. She is the owner and the president of the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss is a California born Buss grew up in an upper class family. Jerry Buss was her father. Jerry Buss started out as a realty tycoon before becoming the owner of the Lakers. In 1972, her parents broke up up and she felt emotionally left out. As a 19-year-old, she took over the Los Angeles Strings professional Tennis team as the General Manager. Later, she founded the Los Angeles Blades, a professional team of roller hockey. She held the position of president of Great Western Forum prior to becoming the vice-president of Lakers. Her father died in 2013, and his control over control for the Lakers was transferred to Buss and her five siblings by a trust of the family that gave each sibling equal voting rights. Buss was elected in 2013 to take charge for the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is co-owner of Women of Wrestling an pro-wrestling promotional business based out of Los Angeles.
