John Denver is a popular singer and songwriter who has influenced many with his songs. A lot of them were inspired by Colorado. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. was born in Roswell in New Mexico. He fell in love with Colorado and settled in Aspen. Denver's popular state anthems have drawn many people visitors to Colorado. G. Brown, curator of Colorado Music Hall of Fame claimed the following: John Denver is the only artist to represent Colorado. Denver was the first Hall of fame ever inductee. Denver has become the image of Colorado for many people all over the world. It is commonplace to meet people from different countries, such as New Zealanders. You say "I am from Colorado" and they instantly respond with Oh John Denver. Brown stated. Denver's debut Top 10 hit as a solo artist after a short stint in smaller folk-based groups is Take Me Home Country Roads co-written with Bill Danoff. Danoff had written the song in conjunction with Johnny Cash in mind but after Denver saw an early rendition and listened to it, he was convinced that the song could be a hit single. In the days following his performance to an audience of over a hundred on the streets of Washington D.C., the artist recorded the song.
